More than 10 million visitors to Canterbury Park, Mystic Lake Casino Hotel, the Renaissance Festival and Valleyfair already know that the Southwest Metro is home to some of the biggest entertainment attractions in the region. Now there is a united voice to promote the area.
I am extremely excited that Shakopee, Prior Lake and the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community have joined forces with the largest Renaissance Festival in the nation, one of the biggest Casinos in the country along with the largest Race Track and largest Amusement Park in the Upper Midwest to develop a joint brand and marketing plan. Today, the group launched “RiverSouth, Land of Big Fun.”
This unique and historic collaboration will allow us to build on the great foundation we currently have; think Dells, North Shore and Black Hills. This brand is as much about who we are today as it is a shared vision of who we want to be in the future, which is about doing fun on a BIG scale.
Through Phase 1 of this effort, local governments and the large entertainment venues will build the brand infrastructure. Phase 2 will cultivate growth for the group’s founding partners, supporting businesses, and entrepreneurs interested in starting new business ventures. Think of the possibilities!!!
This is one of the many great steps we are making in Shakopee toward taking our place as an entertainment and retail destination in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest. Visit the website, RiverSouthMN.com, to learn more about the brand.
Think of the possibilities and expect more proactive, brand-specific promotions in the Land of Big Fun!
Have a great day!!!
